Firstly, it was a great honour to be asked to be asked by Frederik and the team at Workday, the world’s leading financial and Human Capital Management (HCM) company with over 21,000 employees and $7.3 Billion in revenues, to be asked to be the opening keynote at their annual EMEA Customer Summit in London where 300 of their top clients and new business prospects came together to share their experiences and learn about the latest product developments and best practises in the industry.
Playing a pivotal role in helping companies analyse, organise, and plan their financial and HR futures today Workday is more critical to businesses than ever before as we continue to see the rate of global change accelerate and extreme volatility become common place.
The Future of Adaptive Planning, by Futurist Keynote Speaker Matthew Griffin
During my keynote, which was titled “The Future of Adaptive Planning” – which is central to Workday’s mission – together we explored how much things can change in just a single day, how single events can move global markets by trillions of dollars in hours, and how a single proverbial butterfly can flap its wings and turn global tech markets upside down. All of which makes the act of planning for the future – which was already incredibly difficult – almost impossible.
Then, with Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the mind, we looked at how AI is accelerating the rate of global innovation, its impact on company workforces, L&D programs and skills development, and financial markets, before rounding out the session with a look into the future of autonomous companies and the post digital revolution where companies under take intelligence transformation programs not just digital ones.
